Starting A Chapter

Starting a new Honors chapter of Lambda Nu is easy. Simply contact the national  Home Chapter.  All accredited radiologic and imaging sciences programs are eligible for charters to establish their own chapters to recognize and honor those students exhibiting exemplary scholastic ability as  students in the profession. There is a one-time charter fee ($150),  after which the national organization provides a wide range of services  to help start and maintain honors programs in all the radiologic and  imaging sciences in all schools (hospital medical centers, community  colleges, and universities). Services range from recognition  paraphernalia for graduation (pins, certificates, honors cords, gown  stoles, cap tassels) to national scholarship recognition and awards as  well as grants for advanced study and research.  A single chapter may induct students from all programs conducted by the institution  chartering the chapter. 

Model by-laws have been developed to guide local chapters in  formulating by-laws that will be accepted by the national office,  thereby putting the local charter into effect.  Acceptance of local  chapter by-laws by the national office is required before any chapter  can induct new members.
